What we collect
- Newsletter: if you subscribe, we store your email address, the car you searched for (if any), your language and your country as reported by our hosting provider. We send the newsletter with Brevo, an email service based in the EU: your email address and language are stored there too, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Assistant: questions you type into the assistant are sent to Cloudflare Workers AI to generate an answer. We do not store them with your name or email.
- Hosting and security: our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies today. If we add ads or analytics that use cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
The "My build" planner on the guides remembers which parts you ticked using your browser's local storage. That list stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can clear it with the Reset link on the guide or by clearing your browser's site data.
Car requests: when you ask for a guide, we add one to that car's public count. To count each visitor once, we keep a one-way code made from your IP address together with the car for up to 90 days; the code can't be turned back into your address. To stop abuse, the newsletter form also keeps your IP address for one hour.
Link clicks: when you open a link to another site, such as a tuner's or a shop's page, we add one to that link's count so we can see which parts people want. To count each visitor once a day we keep the same kind of one-way code for up to 24 hours. The link itself is not changed.
Why we use it
Only to send you the newsletter you asked for, to decide which car guides to write next, and to keep the site working and secure. We never sell your data.
Links to other sites
Guides link to tuner and shop websites. When you open them, their own privacy policies apply. Some links may be affiliate links; see our affiliate disclosure.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe at any time, and you can ask us to show, correct or delete the data we hold about you by writing to [email protected].
Keeping and protecting data
We keep newsletter data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Data is stored with Cloudflare and, for sending, with Brevo; both protect it with industry-standard security.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
