Power by stage
Stock is Hyundai's engine figure: 250 hp, or 275 hp with the Performance Package (standard from 2021). Stage 1 to 4 are the tuners' own figures at the wheels (whp); N75 measures a stock car at about 225–240 whp. The top of Stage 3 and 4 needs methanol or ethanol.

Software, with colder plugs
265–275 whpN75's Stage 1 calibration takes the Veloster N from about 225–240 whp to 265–275 whp, depending on whether it flashes your own engine computer or a spare one. Plug-in modules and the JB4 piggyback are the no-flash alternatives. LAP3 also tunes the Veloster N, but its product page shows a power table headed "Elantra N", so we don't quote it.
Typical cost: calibration CAD 699.99–899.99 on your computer or CAD 1,499.99–1,999.99 on a spare (N75); JB4 $599–$799; plug-in modules $485.10–$697 (aFe, RaceChip) or €799 (DTE).List prices, Sept 2026, before shipping, import tax and fitting.

Recommended with Stage 1
- Colder spark plugs required
HKS M45XLNGK (heat range 9)
LAP3 requires HKS M45XL plugs and N75 specifies heat range 9.
- High-pressure fuel pump recommended
LF 2.0T pump (genuine Mobis, via LAP3)N75 upgraded pump
N75 calls the pump "a weak point" and recommends replacing it before tuning.
Downpipe, intake and cooling
280–300 whpStage 2 adds an intake, a downpipe and a bigger intercooler with N75's Stage 2 or Stage 3 file. N75 claims 280 whp with an intake and 295 whp with an intake, fuel pump, intercooler and downpipe; on a spare computer its Stage 3 claims 300 whp with water-methanol injection.
Typical cost: downpipe $787.50 with a 100-cell catalyst (XForce) or CAD 760 catless (N75); intake $418.95 (aFe); turbo inlet $156.45–$245.61 (aFe, Forge); intercooler $799 (Wagner) or £613.48 (Airtec); fuel pump $385 (LF, via LAP3).List prices, Sept 2026, before shipping, import tax and fitting.

N75 says its downpipe "Adds 25+WHP on a ECU tune"; XForce's keeps a high-flow catalyst.
- Intake and turbo inlet required

aFe claims +15 hp for its intake; Forge claims +10 hp with its inlet.
- Intercooler recommended
Wagner intercooler (2019–20)Wagner intercooler (2021 DCT)Airtec intercooler
Wagner's has about twice the stock volume; Forge measured 48°C air into the engine with the stock cooler after heat soak.
- Charge pipes optional
aFe BladeRunner charge pipes (automatic only)
Aluminium pipes for higher boost.
- Fuel for the top of Stage 2
LF 2.0T fuel pumpLF 2.0T injectors
N75 reports a "large amount of failures" of the stock injectors and requires new ones for its spare-computer Stage 2.
- Cat-back exhaust optional

Mostly sound; aFe claims +10 hp.
Elantra N turbo or a hybrid
350–400 whpThe Veloster N's favourite upgrade is the Elantra N's larger factory turbo. N75 claims "399WHP and 400WTQ" with its swap kit, and LAP3's package with the same turbo claims 300–380 whp. N75 also makes a stuffed stock turbo, the HT350, for 350 whp and more.
Typical cost: Elantra N turbo swap $1,500 (LAP3) or CAD 2,399.99 (N75); N75 HT350 CAD 2,499.99; SSP DCT clutch kit $1,599.List prices, Sept 2026, before shipping, import tax and fitting.

Each needs a tune written for the new turbo.
- DCT clutch kit DCT cars

SSP rates its kits at 500, 600 or 700 lb-ft; N75 says the DCT "cannot handle hybrid power levels".
- Water-methanol injection for the top figures
LAP3 water-methanol kit
LAP3 recommends it with its higher-boost files.
Big hybrid or turbo kit, and a built engine
450–490 whpN75's HT450 hybrid claims 450 whp at the red line and says it is "capable of 490WHP" at 28 psi. Beyond that, LAP3 sells a full turbo kit with its own manifold, and KDM Tuners a forged engine kit it says will "support up to 700+ hp", which is a hardware rating, not a car figure.

LAP3's kit needs its Pro-Tuner file and methanol.

Questions to ask the shop
- Will you flash my own engine computer or a spare, and does your file include Hyundai's fuel-pump recall software?
- What does the file make on 95 and on 98 RON, measured on a Veloster N rather than an Elantra N?
- On a DCT car, what torque will you run, and will you check the gearbox software matches its hardware revision?
- Do you want a new high-pressure fuel pump and injectors before Stage 1 or Stage 2?
- Is my car a 2019–20 or a 2021–22, and which intercooler, boost pipe and turbo inlet does that call for?
- Will the car still pass the annual inspection, with a catalyst and no fault codes, and can it go back to stock?
