Power by stage
Stock is VW's figure for the three petrol engines. Stage 1 is the tuners' own claims, from 170 PS for the eTSI to 325 PS for the 265 PS car; ABT's are at the engine on 98 octane, most others don't say which fuel. Stage 2 and 3 parts are sold, but no tuner publishes a Stage 2 or 3 figure for this car yet, so we show none.
Each part says who lists it for this car: the maker itself, a dealer's fitment list, or "made for the same engine" in a sister car such as the Golf 8.5, where you should check the fit first.
Software, add-on units and plug-in boxes
170–325 PSFor the 2.0 TSI, RacingLine says the computer can't be flashed yet and promises a free upgrade from its plug-in box to a full tune once it can (its page). APR, REVO, MTM and TVS list no Tiguan Mk3, and BR-Performance marks both 2.0 TSIs "in development" (265, 204). Two German tuners, Fastlane and bhp motorsport, do advertise tunes for it; ask them how they install it, since that's the open question. The 1.5 eTSI has real remaps from BR-Performance and bhp motorsport.
Typical cost: 2.0 TSI: ABT's add-on unit €2,990.01, RacingLine PCM $882.54 on sale (ECS Tuning), DTE €799, DTUK £449, RaceChip €229–€549. 1.5 eTSI: BR-Performance remap €540, ABT €1,890.01, boxes £449–€689.List prices, Sept 2026, before shipping, import tax and fitting.

The DSG
VW doesn't name the gearbox. On the 2.0 TSI it's most likely the DQ381, and TVS says gearboxes built after 2022 have a new locked bootloader it is still "working on" (its note); RacingLine's unlock list doesn't include the Tiguan Mk3 (its page). RacingLine also says an untuned gearbox's torque limiters "actively reduce engine output", which is one reason the boxes add less torque than a full tune would.
Intake, intercooler and exhaust
parts onlyThese parts are on sale in Europe, but no tuner publishes a Stage 2 file or figure for the Tiguan Mk3 yet, so on their own they mostly improve cooling and sound rather than add rated power. RacingLine warns that the Tiguan needs its own turbo-inlet hose because of "different frontal body dimensions", so Golf-sized parts may not fit without changes.
Parts list
- Air filter maker lists the Tiguan Mk3
BMC FB756/20K&N 33-3005Pipercross AM1895
BMC lists the "Tiguan III (CT1) 2.0 TSI 204 / 265, 2024>"; K&N's costs €92.39 and Pipercross's £64.98. These drop-in filters replace the stock element and need no tune.
- Intake same engine / dealer-listed
RacingLine R600 EVO (same engine)BAR-TEK open intakeBAR-TEK air box
RacingLine makes the R600 EVO for the Golf 8 and 8.5 with this engine, without naming the Tiguan. BAR-TEK's fitment lists include the Tiguan's 265 PS engine: its open intake is €336.09 and air box €310.91 before VAT, but the TÜV paper for the intake doesn't list the Tiguan Mk3.
- Intercooler same engine / dealer-listed
RacingLine intercooler (same engine)do88 intercooler (same engine)BAR-TEK intercoolerBAR-TEK V2 intercooler
RacingLine's (£839.98) lists the Golf 8.5 and the 265 PS Formentor of 2024–25, and do88's (€1,026.18) the Golf 8. BAR-TEK lists its own for the Tiguan's engine at €672.18, or €1,092.39 for the V2, before VAT.
- Charge pipes dealer-listed
BAR-TEK boost pipe kitWagner charge and boost pipe kit
Both are sold by BAR-TEK with this engine in the fitment list (€294.08 and €655.42 before VAT); BAR-TEK's TÜV paper for its kit covers older Tiguans only.
- Exhaust maker lists the 265 PS Tiguan Mk3
HG-Motorsport / Bull-X EGO-X
The only exhaust we found made for this car: a valved stainless system for the 265 PS 2.0 TSI at €1,899.05, sold only with fitting at HG-Motorsport in Lübeck. It makes no power claim, and the page doesn't name its approval. Remus, Milltek, Akrapovič, Scorpion, Supersprint and others list nothing for the Tiguan Mk3 yet.
- Downpipe not road-legal on this car
HJS ECE downpipe (other cars)BAR-TEK 4" downpipe (motorsport)
HJS's ECE approval covers only the cars it lists, and its catalogue lists the Golf 8 R and Tiguan Mk2 R, not the Tiguan Mk3's engines (€3,334.98). BAR-TEK's is a "motorsport part without any road approval" and lists the Tiguan Mk2 only.
Bigger turbo
turbos onlyBAR-TEK's fitment lists include the Tiguan's 265 PS engine for two turbo upgrades: its Turbo-Total upgrade turbo for "up to 350 hp" (€2,100.80 before VAT) and a Garrett PowerMax (€1,498.99 before VAT). Both descriptions name the Golf 8 GTI, Leon and Octavia rather than the Tiguan, and each needs a matching file, which nobody offers for this car yet. So there is no Stage 3 figure for the Tiguan Mk3.
Built engine
no verified partsWe found no built-engine parts for the Tiguan Mk3. We'll update this guide when a tuner can flash the 2024-on engine computer; APR's Tiguan page is a good one to watch.
Suspension, brakes, wheels and body kit
listed for the Tiguan Mk3Unlike the engine side, the chassis already has a good choice of parts that name this car. Check two things first: whether your car has DCC Pro adaptive dampers, since springs and coilovers differ, and which brakes it has, since the 265 PS car has 340 mm front discs and the others 306 mm.

Brakes
No big-brake kit lists the Tiguan Mk3 yet (Brembo, Movit, EBC, ABT and RacingLine have none). Sport discs and pads do:

16:21Questions to ask the shop
- Is this a flash of my engine computer or a plug-in box? For a 2024-on 2.0 TSI, how exactly does it work if the computer can't be flashed?
- Is it made for 95 or 98 octane, and what happens if I fill up with 95?
- What does it do to the locked DSG, and does it stay within the gearbox's torque limits?
- Do the figures refer to my exact engine (the 204 PS 2.0 TSI or the 150 PS eTSI sold here), and are they at the engine or the wheels?
- Does my car have DCC Pro, and which springs or coilovers match it?
- Does each part come with approval papers that the licensing office here will accept, and can it all be removed before a service at the importer?
