Stage 1: Software

401–435 PS / hp

Software alone adds about 60–90 PS. APR's file claims 415 hp on 95 RON, 425 on 98 and 435 on 104, for $526.95 (APR). REVO takes the 340 PS car to 401–424 PS (REVO), and ABT's Power upgrade to 410 hp and 530 Nm, with a TÜV certificate (ABT). HPerformance quotes 410 PS and 610 Nm with a TÜV report, from €999, and €300 more for its gearbox tune (HPerformance).

Typical cost: APR $526.95, BAR-TEK €817.10 before VAT or HPerformance €999 with TÜV; HPerformance's gearbox tune €300 more.List prices, Sept 2026, before shipping, import tax and fitting.

A new calibration for the engine computer; BAR-TEK lists its file for the RS Q3 at €817.10 before VAT.

  • Gearbox (S tronic) tune recommended HPerformance

HPerformance offers it with its Stage 1 for €300; APR's DQ500 gearbox file doesn't list the RS Q3.

Stage 2: Intercooler, downpipe and intake

450–472 PS

REVO's Stage 2 file makes 424–472 PS and needs an intercooler, a downpipe and an intake (REVO). HPerformance's Stage 2 claims 450 PS and 650 Nm with its intercooler, a 4-inch intake, a 90 mm TÜV downpipe and engine and gearbox software, for €8,499–9,499 fitted (HPerformance). Wagner's EVO 2 intercooler has 1,560 cm² of cooling surface against 832 cm² stock (Wagner Tuning).

Typical cost: Wagner EVO 2 intercooler $1,199 before VAT; Milltek downpipe with a racing cat €1,512.56 before VAT (BAR-TEK); HPerformance Stage 2 €8,499–9,499 fitted.List prices, Sept 2026, before shipping, import tax and fitting.

Before you buyA racing-cat downpipe won't pass Israeli inspection. HPerformance sells its Stage 2 with a German TÜV report; in Israel any change needs approval under Regulation 380 (how it works).

Stage 3: Hybrid turbo and fuel pump

500–550 PS

The stock turbo is the next limit. TTE upgrades your own turbo to its TTE500 spec, which it rates 500+ PS capable and proven at over 550 PS, for £2,710.82 (Motorsport Calibrations). HPerformance's Stage 3 claims 540 PS and 670 Nm with a TC610XT turbo exchange, a 12 mm high-pressure fuel pump, its intercooler, intake and turbo inlet, a TÜV downpipe with catalysts and engine and gearbox software, for €13,699–14,749 with TÜV (HPerformance).

610–707 PS

HPerformance's Stage 4 claims 610 PS with a TC X8 turbo and a 12 mm high-pressure pump, for €17,499–18,549 with TÜV (HPerformance). Its Stage 5 adds built engine internals for 640 PS and 780 Nm, at €27,999–32,299 (HPerformance). The 707 PS / 800 Nm export kit, from €22,599, is parts only with no TÜV approval: injectors, a milled intake manifold and the built engine (HPerformance).
